Red Button Design's newest employee, Sophie, is a recent History of Art graduate; fascinated by the relationship between ethics and aesthetics. Professionally, she is committed to proving that there can be a positive correlation between 'doing good' and 'doing well'.
Earlier this year, after finishing her degree at University College London, she applied for an internship with Red Button Design. Excited to find a young company in line with her personal values, profitably producing life-saving products, she'll also admit to being a little impressed that James and Amanda had been the first successful social entrepreneurs on The Dragons' Den. Having more than proved her worth whilst interning, Sophie is now officially employed as Project Manager of the Midomo Bracelet initiative which, as Sophie suggests, goes to show "you don't have to change your life to change someone else's".
Sophie is now a permanent fixture of most social enterprise networks, and is not shy of a flipcam! She was recently awarded a 2010 Striding Out Future 100 award - following the footsteps of Amanda in 2008, and James in 2009, making it a Red Button Design hat-trick!
