Amanda Jones

Amanda is a pro-profit Social Entrepreneur drawn to so-called impossible ideas by a predilection to 'have a go anyway', and adamant that the answers to the problems of society and planet alike, lie in the development of good businesses.

After graduating from the University of Glasgow with a joint Masters Degree in Philosophy and Psychology she worked as a freelance marketing consultant in the field of new product design and launch, before teaming up with James Brown to establish Red Button Design in 2007.

As a result of the highly successful pitch she later gave on BBC 2's "The Dragons'; Den" Amanda has had the opportunity to collaborate on textbooks and for-schools initiatives teaching entrepreneurship, confident public speaking and interview technique, and is often invited to speak about her experiences at business events and in schools.

Consequently she also holds a number of supportive positions in the youth and social enterprise sectors, including her role as an Enterprise UK Ambassador, a Creative Enterprise Mentor at NESTA and Guest-blogger at UnLtdWorld.

She is a fellow of The RSA, a member of The Courvoisier Future 500 and Striding Out Future 100 networks, and in 2009 Amanda was awarded a Cosmopolitan Magazine "Woman of the Year" award for ethical enterprise.
